Meet the Doctors
Dr. Cherlin Johnson, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Johnson attended University of California Santa Barbara where she graduated with highest honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Science with a minor in Art history. During her time at UC Santa Barbara she received a grant from the Howard Hughes foundation for her work in neuroscience. Dr. Johnson then attended University of California Irvine School of Medicine where she received her medical degree, followed by an internship in Internal Medicine through the UCLA-Kaiser Affiliated Program.
She then completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at University of Southern California Los Angeles County Medical Center. After completion of her residency she worked as an Emergency Medicine physician at CedarSinaiMedicalCenter. She then chose to join BHCMG to bring together her skills in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, and her love of physical fitness, preventive care and wellness.
Raised in Laguna Beach, Dr. Johnson has called Los Angeles home for the last 6 years. Her father is a Certified Public Accountant and her mother is a photographer in the Orange County area. She has 2 younger sisters who live in Northern California.
Dr. Daniel Jacobsen, D.C., Q.M.E.
Director of Chiropractic Services
Daniel Jacobsen graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles in 1984. He opened his private practice in Beverly Hills, CA in 1985.
In 1994, Dr. Jacobsen founded The Beverly Hills Spine Center. In 1998, Camber Chiropractic Corporation hired Dr. Jacobsen. As President of CCC, he oversaw 25 doctors at 13 clinics throughout California.In 2000, Dr. Jacobsen founded and became President of The Beverly Hills Comprehensive Medical Group, Inc. It was his vision to have chiropractors, medical doctors, massage therapists and physical therapists all working together for the good of the patient.
More than 90 percent of our patients are referred by doctors and other patients, which reflects the confidence Dr. Jacobsen's peers and patients have in his services. There is no greater compliment. The Industrial Medical Council has appointed Dr. Jacobsen a Qualified Medical Evaluator, and he is also an Industrial Disability Evaluator.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Jacobsen has written numerous articles on health, exercise and back care. He was the founder of Small Spine Productions which produced the video "The Home Spinal Exam for Children".
Dr. Jacobsen is very happily married to his wife, Deann. They have two children.
Matthew Stodolsky, M.P.T., Cert. M.D.T.
Physical Therapist
Matthew Stodolsky has been directly involved in physical therapy care since 1993. A graduate from the University of California, Riverside in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in pre-med, Matthew pursued his Physical Therapy Assistant certification from Mount St. Mary's College in 1996. In 2000, Matthew received a dual degree from Mercy College with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science, as well as, a Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
Matthew became a Certified McKenzie Diagnostic Therapist in 2003 which is an advanced style of evaluation, diagnostic, and treatment of the spine. Matthew has extensive experience in acute care, rehabilitation, and geriatrics, as well as, specializing in out-patient orthopedics. Matthew's goal in physical therapy is to empower the patient with the knowledge and techniques for independent self-care.
