Cherlin Johnson, M.D. - Medical Director

Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from the UC Irvine, School of Medicine. While at UCI, Dr. Johnson organized and led a team of students that established a free clinic for local disadvantaged women and other outreach programs for underprivileged children. In addition, Dr. Johnson was a member of multiple community boards that helped further health programs at UCI and the surrounding community. She received the Government Service Award for her work as class President, as well as the Emergency Medicine Faculty Award for Clinical Excellence, which is given to only one student a year.
Dr. Johnson completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at USC Los Angeles County Medical Center. Upon completion of her residency she worked as an Emergency Medicine physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as the youngest ER doctor on staff. Recognizing that patients in all ERs were waiting too long and paying too much and that an overwhelming portion of patient complaints to the ER involved non-life threatening problems, back pain or musculoskeletal concerns, Dr. Johnson left Cedars-Sinai and joined forces with chiropractor Dr. Daniel Jacobsen to create the Executive ER, the first facility of its kind.
Daniel Jacobsen, D.C. - Director of Chiropractic Services

Dr. Jacobsen graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles in 1984. He opened his private practice in Beverly Hills, CA in 1985. In 1994, Dr. Jacobsen founded The Beverly Hills Spine Center. In 1998, Camber Chiropractic Corporation recruited Dr. Jacobsen to oversee their West Coast Chiropractic operations. As President of CCC, he oversaw 25 doctors at 13 clinics throughout California.
In 2000, Dr. Jacobsen founded The Beverly Hills Comprehensive Medical Group, Inc. It was his vision to have chiropractors, medical doctors, physical therapists and massage therapists all working together for the good of the patient. More than 90% of his patients are referred by doctors and other patients, reflecting the confidence Dr. Jacobsen's peers and patients have in his services. The Industrial Medical Council has appointed Dr. Jacobsen a Qualified Medical Evaluator, and he is also an Industrial Disability Evaluator. In addition to his practice, Dr. Jacobsen has written numerous articles and produced videos on health, exercise and back care.
Leif Lunsford, M.D. - Emergency Medicine

Dr. Lunsford received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in 2002. As a student, he was very involved in research and was awarded the Student Research Award in 1997 from the East Coast Connective Tissue Society.
Dr. Lunsford completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the County USC Medical center. He chose emergency medicine because he enjoys diagnosing and treating disease in the emergent setting. After completing his residency, he was a clinical instructor of Emergency Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. He was also an attending physician at California Hospital, Valley Presbyterian Hospital and Los Alamitos Medical Center. He joined the Beverly Hills Comprehensive Medical Group because he believes patients deserve a place where they can receive treatment by emergency physicians in a more timely, personable and affordable manner.
Ken Ycmat, D.C. - Chiropractor

Dr. Ycmat graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles in 2008. While at Cleveland, Dr. Ycmat was a treating intern for USC student health and was part of a treatment study for Hip Osteoarthritis. Upon completion of his studies, he was awarded the Clinic Excellence Award which is given to only one student per graduating class. Before attending Chiropractic College, Dr. Ycmat received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from UCLA in Physiological Sciences and worked as a personal trainer in the Los Angeles area for 15 years.
