Healthy Eating Habits to Meet Weight Loss Goals

We believe that strong bones, muscles and lean body mass can encourage good posture, prevent injury and reduce uncomfortable symptoms.

Weight Loss Tips

1. Cut Out Sugar - Sugar is the most common cause of weight gain and is used in excess in the American diet. Long term, sugar is stored in the body as fat, which can build around your mid-section, placing pressure on vital organs and causing weight gain. Eventually that weight gain can lead to poor posture and back pain.

2. Only Eat When Hungry - You may have been taught that you need three square meals per day at specific time intervals. Despite not being hungry, you may eat first thing in the morning, again at lunch and again at dinner in increasingly bigger food quantities throughout the day. Instead of eating copious meal portions, try eating small, protein-rich snacks throughout the day, or every couple of hours.

3. Limit Grain Intake - Our Beverly Hills chiropractor recommends limiting intake of grains to once or twice a week, especially if you have any inflammatory condition including high blood pressure or arthritis.

4. Eat Lots of Veggies - Make a habit of incorporating green vegetables into your diet such as kale, collards, mustard greens, spinach, etc. These vegetables are rich in essential vitamins and nutrients and can easily be added into a daily diet.
